He received a Ph.D. in law while defending a dissertation on “Recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in Ukraine” in 2000 and a doctorate in legal sciences while defending a thesis on the topic “Legal foundations and current trends in the international legal unification of the international civil process” in 2015. Gennady Tsirat gives courses on international commercial arbitration, private international law, and contemporary issues of private international law at the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
